Words of Encouragement

Our community shared advice and words of wisdom for when your motivation is in the toilet.

It’s okay to stop and try again later.

This opens up to a whole new level of parenting.

After this you will have significantly less stuff to carry with you.

Oh man! Keep on, keeping on!! They won’t go to high school still in diapers… promise!!

You can do it! My son is 33 and no longer wears diapers! 👌

"Big little feelings" method.

Keep trying & stay consistent! It’ll all work out eventually! 😉

Bribing with m&ms is 100% okay! Do what you need to. You got this!

Mini marshmallows as a potty reward are a must!

In it too! It’s a real roller coaster ride!

Read “Oh Crap! Potty Training” then give yourself a weekend at home. Relax 💗

Potty watch.

Potty breaks every 30 mins.

Regressions happen! Stay positive and keep going, they will get it! 💕

One poop at a time! You got this 💩🫶

Try using a sticker chart as a reinforcer for your little ones. Make potty time fun.

It gets better! And then worse again… But better after that!! I promise!

Those first few days are tough but when that lightbulb goes off it’s so fun to see them learning!

Rip the band-aid off and don’t look back. Don’t let kiddos think there is a possibility to go back to diapers.

No pants for a week is the way to do it! Be patient and let your kiddo guide the process!

Those first three days are so. So. Hard. Push through those and it gets so much better!!

Wait wait wait! Buy more hello bellos! We did kid #2 right after turning 3. It was a breeeeeeze.

They won’t be in diapers forever - stick it out and they’ll figure it out!

Don’t expect it to be over in a few days - our kiddo took months, but he got there!

Once you start, don't give up. You'll start to see the light.

Fav character undies and encourage not to pee on them!! “Don’t pee on Moana!”.

Don’t forget to breathe. You have to be ready for training just as much as them.

Dedicate at least 2-3 days being at home without undies! Incentivize that 💩!!

Consistency is key!

Don’t push them too hard they’ll resist and it makes it 10x harder. Let them be ready.

Bribes (stickers, quarters, m&ms, anything that works).

Btw, sometimes potty training takes more than 3 days! It takes lots of patience, time, accidents & rewards!

Patience! Completely switch to underwear only and put puppy pads on the bed for nighttime

DO NOT FORCE IT. 🖤

They will not go to college in diapers, I promise!

Take the Big Little Feelings course! Game changer 🙌

Eventually it ends.

Oh Crap method is amazing!

Get “pee pads” and put them inside your couch - even after potty training is done! Accidents happen even for the best kids and I promise you WILL thank your past self for it.

Oh Crap method and naked. Works every time.

I’m knee-deep in it right now! 🥴We started on Friday & still at it! He finally went 💩 in the “baby” toilet!

Dollar store rewards!! Stickers for pee, little toys for poo!

Accidents happen! They are gross and suck but eventually they stop

Don’t. Rush. It.

My 3 year old asked me if I remembered when she 💩 on the floor. Don’t forget to laugh!

Don’t rush. Don’t compare your kiddos timeline to others’.

I’ll be there soon!

Remember to teach them not to play/explore what they make!

It takes patience and understanding ❤️
